The Highline & Chelsea Market are absolute must-sees when visiting New York. The Highline is the most amazing above-ground walkway with beautiful views of both the water and the city. Since its still nice out, there are currently tons of vendors set up along the path as well as a waterfall to splash around in. Its the perfect place to spend the afternoon, and since its so close to FIT, i have a feeling i will be visiting frequently!
The Chelsea Market right next to The Highline, so its the perfect place to go after you have walked up an appetite. There are endless options in the Chelsea Market if your looking for something to eat, from acai bowls (above), to mini donuts, to crab legs (also above & SO GOOD), and much much more. I could probably live in the Chelsea Market and be perfectly content! There are also stores for all your shopping needs, from books to kitchen supplies. My absolute favorite jewelry market is found inside the Chelsea Market, and is basically heaven for a dainty jewelry lover like myself.
For a day on The Highline i decided to wear my navy and black lace Zara shorts paired with a white crop top, also from Zara. Maroon accents brought some color to the outfit. My favorite lace up flats from Mango (link above), really completed the outfit. Lace up flats are everywhere this season and are an easy way to add some interest to any outfit. It helps that they are super comfortable as well. Ive seen some great pairs from both Zara and Jeffrey Campbell. Till next time,
