Louis Vuitton's
F/W 15 collection drew inspiration from both the past and future, using both
high-tech fabric and metallic materials, resulting in a collection full of
cool separates and covetable accessories.
While many
believed Nicolas Ghesquière played it too safe this season, one cannot
deny how wearable the pieces were. I mean, isn't that the point of a
ready-to-wear collection? The accessories are what really stood out
for me, especially the "vanity" box trunks and the new
renditions of the adorable mini trunks debuted last season. The venue
itself was amazing, and added to the futuristic vibes even more. It is
clear Ghesquière is still finding his own place in the historic fashion
house, which means finding the that middle ground of staying true to the
brand as well as his own design aesthetics. I am sure he is on his way,
and i can't wait to see what he comes up with next.
