Fur Accents

Jacket: Zara | Turtleneck: Mango | Jeans: Zara | Sneakers: Keds | Sunnies: Ray Ban

The temps are dropping here in NYC, so my turtlenecks and fur are finally being dusted off and put to good use! There is nothing quite like fall in NYC, everything is so pretty and colorful. This past weekend I strolled around Greenwhich Village and the Meatpacking District, two of my favorite areas in the city. The Gansvoort Market (pictued above) is a great place to escape the cold when in the Meatpacking District, and has an amazing variation of food and drinks. Whether you are in the mood for pizza, tacos or greek, they have it all. Not to mention amazing crepes!

I love nothing more than a good fur accent. The amazing thing about this Zara coat is that the fur comes off, so the coat can totally be transformed. Not to mention the fur itself can be worn its own! Unfortunately, it is from last season, but Zara had a few similar ones this season and i linked some below! I also just got these Ked sneakers, which i love. They are so comfortable and super versatile, i find they go with just about everything. What i especially liked about them were that they are hightop and will keep my ankles warm in the cold. Must-have!

Cozy & Warm

Jacket: Mango | Leggings: Zara | Scarf: H&M | Boots: Shoegasm | Bag: Chanel | Sunnies: Prada

When the weather gets cooler, one is immediately inclined to dress cozy and warm. Thats why I find anyway to be as warm and toasty as possible. This new wool jacket from Mango fit the bill perfectly, and paired with a big scarf has me ready for winter. These leggings I just bought at Zara are also a must, they are super thick and are a nice neutral grey that go with just about everything. Xx,

Chilly Days Call for Donuts & Coffee

Jacket: Zara | Leggings: H&M | Scarf: Zara | Bag: Kate Spade

Cold weather is no excuse to stay indoors, especially when NYC is so beautiful as this time of year. The air is crisp, the leaves are falling, and everyone seems a little more thankful to be out of the heat at last. I love this weather myself, and am happy to bundle up in layers and scarfs. I am coming to realize that one of my best purchases was a light down jacket i bought at Lululemon last year. It can layer under all my lighter jackets easily and adds an extra layer of warmth. I definitely suggest one if you want to transition your lighter fall jackets into the cooler temps! I linked some options below.

When walking around, we happened upon the most adorable donut and coffee shop called Dough, located on 14 W 19th street. They had the most amazing looking donuts, and I obviously could not resist. I ended up splitting a glazed donut and coffee with my roommate, and both were delicious. If you find yourself in that area i definitely recommend it!

Soho Saturdays

Jeans: H&M | Boots: Shoegasm | Sunnies: Ray Ban

Adorable puppies, delicious food, and some quality time with my sister. Could a Saturday be more perfect? Fall has finally graced itself on NYC, and it was the perfect day to explore. My sister and I were on our way to lunch when we passed a pet store in Chelsea, and of course had to stop in. We ended up staying for hours playing with the most adorable puppies! I was in heaven. I fell in love with the most precious French Bulldog, which is my dream dog, and nearly shed a tear when i had to give him back! :(

After the puppy detour we went to lunch at 100 Mondaditos, a Spanish tapas restaurant (they have the exact same ones in Spain!), then did some shopping around Soho. I just recently found the most perfect pair of Chelsea boots at Shoegasm, which has the best variety of shoes ever. They have a slightly pointed toe, which is exactly what I wanted, and are super comfortable. They go with everything, and are definitely a new staple in my wardrobe. On the way back home we found ourselves in a little outdoor food market in the Flatiron District. There was everything from waffles, to tacos, to pasta! My sister and I were both craving something sweet, so we decided upon the mini fried donuts from the donut stand. Soooo delicious!  Xx,

Winter in Fall

Trench: Zara | Scarf: H&M | Hat: Forever 21 | Leggings: Lululemon | Bag: Rebecca Minkoff

Last weekend Mother Nature decided it was time for a little preview of winter for NYC. It was freezing. In a matter of days i went from wearing t-shirts to bundling up in full-on winter gear. The awful weather, of course, did not stop New Yorkers from enjoying the weekend. Everyone was out and about in the Meatpacking District, dare i say, enjoying the cold. I must admit, it was nice to finally wear a jacket and boots and not feel too hot!

A trench coat is a must for the fall/winter season. This one from Zara is great, for its the perfect fall jacket and then it is easily layer-able for the winter months. Above, i layered my Lululemon down jacket underneath and was perfectly warm the entire 50 degree day. A hat is also a great winter and fall accessory, for it keeps your head warm and your hair dry when it is sprinkling out, like it was on this particular day. I am definitely planning to invest in more! The weather is back to normal fall temps, but i definitely didn't mind a little taste of winter! Without the snow, of course (please!).

Little Italy

Soho

Outside Laduree

Pepe Rosso

Pants: Zara | Top: Zara | Sneakers: RL Ralph Lauren | Purse: Rebecca Minkoff | Sunnies: Rayban

Sunday's in the city are one of my favorite days of the week. There is always something going on, and its usually free! A couple of Sunday's ago my sister and i attended the Italian Festival in Little Italy and had an amazing time. We of course had to try the food, and found the most adorable place called Pepe Rosso. Just outside was this amazing wall of graffiti hearts, which obviously called for a photoshoot. Afterwards we walked back through Soho and enjoyed the beautiful day that it was. I knew we had to do a lot of walking, so I opted for a crop top paired with black pants and sneakers. Xx.

Moss Is Boss

I just finished watching a documentary on Kate Moss (check it out on Youtube here) that left me truly amazed at how a single model can really influence a generation, decade and culture. We all know how amazing Kate Moss is, but this documentary really put it into perspective. She wasn't your typical Bombshell model of the time, like Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer and Linda Evangelista. She was unlike any model, and thats really what made her so special. It especially helped that she was loved greatly by photographers and editors alike. Some of the most famous and well respected photographers in the world, such as Bruce Weber, Mario Testino, and Peter Lindbergh, all took a great liking to Kate. Her look and rebellious attitude suspended her to icon status for the 90s grunge generation, and she still holds that status to this day. A look back at some of my favorite editorials of Queen Moss:
